How to Ride
AIRPORT TO HOTELS: RTD COMMUTER RAIL LINE
There are several options for getting from the Denver International Airport (DIA) to downtown Denver (or back), where the conference hotels are located. Taxi cabs will cost around $70, and Uber and Lyft also operate throughout the Denver area. Phone numbers for other reserved shuttle or limo services are listed below.
A good option is a commuter rail line run by the Regional Transportation District (RTD). The line costs $10.50 one way, and trains run about every 15 minutes from the airport to Union Station in downtown Denver (every 30 minutes after 7:30 pm). Union Station is about one mile from the hotels, with a free shuttle bus that takes you most of the way.
To get to the airport rail station, after arriving at the central terminal follow signs to the Transit Center and proceed to the south exit on level 5 (look for the large American flag). Exit the terminal through the sliding glass doors and take the escalator located in the center of the plaza down to level 1. Buy your ticket at a kiosk in the station and take the Commuter Rail to Union Station in downtown Denver.
To get to conference hotels, you can either walk about a mile or take the free 16th Street Mall bus to California or Glenarm Street, then it’s a quick walk to each hotel. The free bus leaves from just outside Union Station. See the map of downtown Denver.
HOTELS TO THE UNIVERSITY: RTD LIGHT RAIL
From downtown hotels: The best option is to use Denver’s Light Rail service. Tickets cost $3 one way (or $6 for a day pass), and trains run about every 15 minutes from stations a few blocks from the hotels (see map of downtown Denver). The trip to University of Denver Station takes about 20 minutes. Trains run at about the same frequency in the evening in the return direction.
Take the F or H trains (southbound) from downtown Light Rail stations to the University of Denver station. (Closest downtown stations to conference hotels are 18th & California and 16th & California.)
Look for students in orange vests at the University of Denver station and across campus to guide your way to the meeting!
From the University of Denver Station, it is about a 10-minute walk to the meeting.
DRIVING TO THE UNIVERSITY (AND PARKING)
For those with a car, pre-paid parking is available in Lot L on campus (Asbury Avenue between S. Gaylord and S. York Streets). Please email email@example.com in advance of the meeting for a permit. You may also pay to park at any available lot on campus.
DU is located just south of I-25; take the University exit and turn west on Asbury to find the designated parking lot.
